Privacy policy for next level launchpad
# Privacy Policy for Next Level : Launchpad
Last updated: March 11, 2026
NBS ("we", "us", or "our") operates the macOS application **Next Level : Launchpad**. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes, how that information is used, and the choices available to users.
## 1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the current version of **Next Level : Launchpad** distributed by NBS.
## 2. Information We Process
### A. Information processed locally on your device
Next Level : Launchpad is designed to work primarily on-device. Depending on how you use the app, it may process the following information locally on your Mac:
- Installed application metadata, such as app names, bundle identifiers, app categories, and app file paths, in order to display and organize applications available on your device.
- User preferences and customization settings, such as theme preference, visual settings, animation timings, layout preferences, launch-at-login preference, and dismiss behavior.
- User-created organization data, such as favorites, custom categories, hidden categories, category order, and app-to-category overrides.
- Shortcut configuration data, such as the keyboard shortcuts you choose for launch actions.
- Cached application list data to improve app responsiveness and reduce repeated rescans.
### B. System permissions and system-level status
The app may request or use the following macOS permissions or system integrations:
- **Accessibility permission**: If you choose to grant it, this permission may be used for deeper system integration and keyboard-driven control features on your device.
- **Login Item / Launch at Login**: If you enable automatic launch, macOS stores and manages the login item setting so the app can start when you sign in.
### C. Information we do not collect from you remotely
Based on the current version of the app:
- We do **not** require account creation.
- We do **not** collect your name, email address, phone number, or payment information through the app.
- We do **not** use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies in the app.
- We do **not** sell or rent personal information.
- We do **not** transmit the locally processed application metadata or preference data to NBS servers.
## 3. How We Use Information
We use the locally processed information only to:
- show and organize applications installed on your Mac;
- remember your preferences and customization choices;
- save favorites, category structure, and shortcut settings;
- enable optional launch-at-login behavior if you turn it on;
- support app functionality, performance, and usability on your device.
## 4. Data Sharing
We do not share your data with advertising networks, data brokers, or third-party analytics providers through the current version of the app.
If you voluntarily contact us by email, we may use the information in your message to respond to your request.
## 5. Data Storage and Retention
The current version of the app stores its local state on your device, currently in a file under:
`~/Library/Application Support/Next Level Launchpad/LaunchpadState.json`
That local file may include cached app metadata, favorites, custom categories, settings, category overrides, and shortcut preferences.
This information remains on your device until:
- you delete the app and its related local files;
- you manually remove the stored app data; or
- the app overwrites the stored data as part of normal use.
NBS does not maintain a remote user database for this app based on the current version.
## 6. Keyboard Input
If you configure shortcuts, the app registers the shortcut combinations you choose so it can respond to those commands. The app is not designed to collect or transmit your general keyboard input to NBS.
## 7. Security
We use a local-first approach and rely on macOS system protections and normal application storage mechanisms to help protect data stored on your device. However, no method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
## 8. Children's Privacy
The app is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through a remote account or backend service. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us by email, contact us and we will address the request as appropriate.
## 9. Your Choices
You can control your information and privacy choices by:
- declining or revoking Accessibility permission in macOS System Settings;
- disabling launch-at-login in the app or in macOS Login Items settings;
- removing the app's local data from your Mac;
- contacting us if you have questions about this policy.
Because the current version of the app does not maintain a remote user account database, most data access or deletion actions can be handled directly on your device.
## 10. International Data Transfers
Based on the current version of the app, we do not transfer app-processed user data to NBS-operated remote servers as part of normal app functionality.
## 11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
## 12. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the app's privacy practices, you can contact:
